New Rules Proposal
In light of all the posts on here about teams and players playing out of class, I have yet to see anyone come up with a solid idea about fixing this problem. Here's my idea and don't go bashing it until you come up with something better...And FYI, everybody in 1 class is not a better idea.
I think most players are in agreement that every player needs to be put in a class. This is already pretty much established, but needs to be tweaked just a little. Instead of just directors classifying players, I think their needs to be a board of 8-10 veteran players/coaches (at least 2 from each class), along with the directors, to go through and classify players and teams. It will be a majority vote with the directors breaking the tie if their was one. Once this is done, any given player will hold that classification for 2 years. And players will get reclassified every 2 years.
Team rules, any given team in a given class must play with all players from that class. Or they can play with no more than 2 players from an upper class, but must also have the same amount of lower class players as well. (Example: a D class team can field 10 D class players; 8 D class, 1 C class and 1 E class; or 6 D class, 2 C class and 2 E class).
I think this will encourage players to play in the proper class for the most part. It will also eventually make C class the biggest class.
As for E teams, if they have D players they must also have that many players that aren't in the system. This will introduce more people to the game and therefore the game will grow.
