McTown Spring Fling NSA E Class Qualifer Results
Congratulations to a young, hard-hitting, never-say-quit Thunder Ducks team from Beersheba Springs for winning the McMinnville Fairgrounds Spring Fling NSA State Qualifier Tournament today. These guys hit the ball hard all day and when they got behind, they always fought back and stayed undefeated for the day! An always hard-hitting Jaycees team from Shelbyville placed second and crushed the ball all day! Chaos, from McMinnville, also exhibited that never-say-die attitude and used good hitting and scrappy defense to place third. Team Suds from Crossville hustled hard all day and had a lot of fun while placing fourth, and Swagger from McMinnville showed scrappy hitting and defense during the tournament to place fifth. Thanks to all umpires and workers who did a great job, as well as players and spectators who showed good sportsmanship most of the day. The weather was great!. The food was great! The atmosphere was great! Everyone I spoke to said they had a good time, and that's a pretty good softball day in my opinion. I'm taking next weekend off, but good luck to everyone playing in Connie and Pheasy's tournament in Maryville next week and in Terry Beard's tournament at the McMinnville Fairgrounds. Hope to see you at Newtown on April 21.
