Congrats to Camp Creek out memohis on getting to compete for their mother effin 10th ISA state title in the same damn class. They are playing under HCI and literally just played the B state in Arkansas. What. The. F*ck. is wrong with ISA?

Camp creek/HCI... Back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back to back ISA D state champs when allowed to play

My name is Josh Pitto, and I'm genuinely curious how they are allowed to play D after winning it 753778 times?

C class didn't make and they needed a place to play.

Well as long as they have a place to play, I'm so happy to compete against a conference level softball team who has played together for a decade, won this tournament more times than anyone else has played in it, and takes softball more seriously than Donald Trump does illegal immigration.

Word Is they just wanted to make a trip over to get MSGA hats...

They won't have any money left to spend on those beautiful hats after giving ISA another $275 and the gas money spent to drive 11 people 3.5 hours each way to play a 10 team softball tournament. Congrats on another D state, Camp Creek. I wonder how many D states CTS, SHOWTIME and BDB would have if ISA gave them the same free pass?

ISA is barely worth the effort to reply to at this point. The tournament was a joke today. I lot of you newer guys may not know Camp Creek, but they are the EXACT CTS of West TN. The only difference is that they have an ISA director associated with them. Them being allowed to play D AGAIN, win or lose, after winning a plethora of ISA states and playing conference tournaments is ridiculous. It's all just a money grab by ISA to get another teams $275.

Not only that, ISA was making teams use the specific ball they wanted, just so teams had to buy all new softballs. Also, changing the homerun rules at the last second.

The level of pettiness is so strong with ISA. Absolutely no wonder it is dying off as an association, because they continually put money ahead of their product and its
getting so bad that people are finally starting to notice. ISA is everything that is wrong with softball nowadays. Letting B/C teams play D, paying umpires absolute shit per game, and poor
directing adds up to an all around garbage product.

Players deserve more for $275.

People hate on softball a lot, but it really is a great sport for a lot of people to spend time with friends competing on a Saturday. Absolute shame that associations like ISA take advantage of it.

I strongly encourage you to play elsewhere and see the difference for yourself.

When you don't charge a gate fee corners have to be cut elsewhere.

Pitto most of the garbage you put out is outright wrong. Please prove you are a man of your word and do not play ISA again.

Hahaha what part of my exit led you to believe that I would ever play your dying association again?

I already quit umpiring for y'all, and we saw what that left you with...

And feel free to explain what part of my "garbage" is wrong, or you too busy counting Camp creek's entry fees from the past 10 years

Great thought Spectator, and yes I have stopped to wonder if I was problem. So I assessed the intellect and integrity of people like Steve Lovvern and Nathan Kendrick, and it becomes abundantly clear that money is all they care about. With them, there is absolutely zero regard for creating a better product for softball players. Zero. The reason you get bad apples on an umpiring crew, is because you only pay $22 a game in a state tournament. They literally had to have guys drive in from Columbia, SC because no one wants to work for them.

I've umpired for every association there is, and played in every association there is. I know more directors, players and umpires at 30 than you'll know in a lifetime. So yes, I assessed if I was the problem, and anyone I have ever played with or umpired for (that isn't a greedy and shady individual) will be happy to answer that question for you, if you take the time to ask.

And despite all that, after umpiring several weeks in a row, I was looking for a weekend off to just relax and play ball, as many softball players want to do after a long week of work. However, I show up to play in a tournament for D teams with some friends and end up playing a conference team in our 2nd game. And let me assure you, ANYONE who has played C/D softball for the past 5 years, knows that camp creek/primetime/901 has absolutely no business in being allowed to play in an ISA D state. They competed in the B state in arkansas a couple weeks ago. I don't believe B teams should be allowed to play D. I think that's unfair to true D teams who paid their $275 to compete in their proper class. Now Spectator, if you believe there should be no classes and everyone should just "shut up and play", that's your right. BUT if associations are going to claim to have classes, then those rules need to be enforced or the legal D teams who pay their $275 are being disrespected and put at a disadvantage because a director refuses to do his job.

Despite all that logic, which is most assuredly way above your intellect grade, I tried to "shut up and play" and was then ejected in the first inning of the championship game after what both teams, the assistant director, and the other umpire have described as "horrible", "really bad" and "probably the worst I've ever seen". And that ejection was for saying "that's so bad" in what can only be described as the least aggressive tone I have ever had in my life haha I've truly never seen the opposing team try to tell the umpire that someone shouldn't be ejected, or ever seen the field umpire walk over to the fence as I'm on my way to the parking lot and apologize for the other umpires actions. The assistant director personally told me that umpire had been getting all the complaints all day concerning his attitude and overall performance, but they didn't have anyone to replace him with, so they had to stick with him. While Breeze, the UIC, is standing 10 feet away in athletic attire... the situation couldn't have been handled any worse, and ANYONE who was there on either team would tell you that.

So Spectator, if you took the time to read this entire post, I hope I answered your question or concern regarding why I am "crying" on here. Feel free to leave your actual name next time, I'm sure you'll have better luck at spelling that one than you did mine. I would love to know who I am dealing with, and your level of knowledge regarding the softball world. I always enjoy hearing the logic behind someone else's opinion, or proving to everyone else that there is none.

And congrats to Bren's Men on their win. Solid players, solid coach, and all around good dudes in my opinion. (Besides that Chad Smithson guy, I think we can all agree that no one likes that guy)

And a kudos to all the softball directors who are trying to do it the right way. It's not easy to find, but they are out there, I promise.

Almost sounds silly for this many people to have an opinion on something as meaningless as slow-pitch softball, but at the end of the day there are a lot of people (myself included) who enjoy having the opportunity to compete with and against friends in a pretty fun sport. So if people are going to dedicate their weekends, money and effort to softball, it can be frustrating when poor directing and abysmal umpiring taints an entire tournament. Mistakes happen, but softball players shouldn't have to be on the other end of laziness and outright greed, and that's exactly what they got at the ISA state

Great gif that guys has crazy rants on the internet as well... but lemme see you guys didnt protest, u sacked up and beat them.. if they are conference level, b class, or c class doesn't that mean you guys are in the wrong class? As well as the team that run ruled them? Not sure I've seen people complain about teams they beat... would make the case you should be classed with them
Shithook replied

The whole point of the argument is that they should have never been allowed to play... they should have never had to beat them. The teams
thag camp creek sent home was the ones who suffered the most . By what ISA said earlier last week about roster qualifications they shouldn't have been allowed in. Point . Period. End of story. I don't blame someone for being mad about it. Why not let BDB play then? They are the same as that camp creek team ability wise but they were told they couldn't play D. It's the hipocrasy of the whole situation that makes people mad . Don't say it's one way and do the exact opposite of what you say

I find it laughable that that some of you go on the internet and claim how you shouldn't been allowed to play this class or that class but yet you are the same people who say they can't compete in E so you need to play Rec this weekend . You may not agree with classes ( or at least that's what you tell people at the field) but they are needed
